Getting Started

To report sightings of your Painted Buntings, sign up as a citizen scientist with the Painted Bunting Observer Team (PBOT).

After you have joined PBOT:

You will need to plot the Location(s) for your sightings. See Adding a Location for the specifics of this process.

After you plot your Location(s), you can start reporting your sightings using the Sightings Report forms. See Adding a Sighting more information.

To help you collect data, we have a series of printable data sheets that you can use to record your observations as you watch:

By using the printable sheets, you can enter your data into the website when it is most convenient to you!
